Gunderson Enterprises, Inc. LLC and Gunderson Cattle Company is located outside of Yankton, South Dakota close to Mission Hill near the WNAX Radio Towers. They have been in the purebred livestock business since the 1970's starting with purebred Suffolk Sheep. Today, they run Maine-Angus and Purebred Angus Cows focused on maternal traits and performance.
The operation was established in the early to mid 1990's by incorporating DeJong Ranch Females and Bulls. Later Nagel Bulls in a WD-40 Son named Jordon and a Wide Track Son named Maine Track were used as herd sires. Both bulls were Denver Pen Bulls for Nagel's. The great fronted DeJong Females crossed very well with the performance-oriented Nagel Bulls.
We started incorporating Green Valley Cattle genetics into the herd in the 2000's with Green Valley's emphasis on high quality phenotypes, and homozygous character traits.
Our Angus Genetics were orginally sourced from Green Valley Cattle including bred females and sires GVC Trailblazer 046H (AAA #1982330) and GVC Huckleberry 091J (AAA #20096985). We have added recently Maine-Anjou Genetics recently with the addition of BOE Gundy. Angus Genetics recently added with R-B and Krebs Ranch females.
Kralicek Farms is a diversified crop and livestock operation north of Yankton, South Dakota. The operation consists of row crops, alfalfa and hay both conventional, non-GMO and organic. They were primarily concentrating on the commercial side of the livestock industry focused on performance for swine, buffalo and cattle.
Kralicek Farms started making the transition to Maine-Anjou genetics in the early 2000's purchasing high performance Maine-Anjou bulls from Nagel's and transitioned to Green Valley Cattle bulls. Started purchasing females from Gunderson's in the early 2010's. Additional genetics were purchased on the Green Valley Maine-Anjou Dispersal to start an ET flushing program.
Kralicek Farms purchased the majority of the famed Stout Maines herd in the fall of 2020 from Dave Stout. Today, in addition to the Stout Maines genetics, Kralicek Farms has several donor cows consisting of O'hara and Rigby Cattle Company Maine-Anjou genetics, Foxhoven Angus. Green Valley Cattle and Krebs Ranch Angus Genetics.
Kralicek Farms lease high performance Angus, Maine-Anjou, and Maine-Angus bulls to commercial cattlemen.
